After a visit to the ancient rock engravings and petroglyphs at the Napwerte/Ewaninga conservation reserve near Alice Springs. The claypan and surrounding rocky outcrops are a significant archaeological site and an important place for the Arrernte people.
This work is part of a major body of work made during and in response to a six-month life-affirming road-trip / sojourn into central Australia in 2000.
