Handmade paper(vintage Atlas) vintage Italian mask paper,saffron dye.
To exhibit handmade paper drawings/collages as part of a group show that focuses on non objective practice. The two works demonstrate the potential of using recycled paper with its textual forms and emergent shadows and the incorporation of small collage within both works breaking expectations of the works and the space they occupy.

Bio
Dr. Elizabeth Rankin is an artist and scholar whose work centres on feminist perspectives and psychological approaches to visual and material culture. Born in Bilpin to a soldier settler family on a small orchard, she was raised by her grandmother, a Presbyterian, which shaped her early experiences. Elizabeth has always had a passion for drawing and pursued her studies at the National Art School after leaving her teaching career. Currently residing in Sydney, Elizabeth has also spent time on the Channel Islands. She maintains an active art practice and regularly exhibits her work in artist-run initiatives and commercial galleries. Her papers are published by Sequitur, Boston University and Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada.She has recently presented a research paper at The 8th Material Image Conference at the National Art School (2024). Elizabeth’s practice is diverse and includes painting, drawing, collage, installation and animation. She has become increasingly interested in non- traditional materials in recycled fabrics and paper in her work. The female body sometimes in abject form is part of her focus. Her practice has come to include the curation of work by other female artists as in the 2025 feminist show at Articulate Boobs are Dancing with Kirsten Drewes.
