The observed form drawings are debossed with a found river stone — a meditation on time, a slow negotiation with the paper, a way of holding presence at the leading edge of the line.
Belinda Yee draws across media. Her text-works, poetry and sculpture are forms of drawing, ways of holding presence through the trace of lines. Her works are quiet, fragile, and often provisional. Resisting documentation, they ask to be met in person as gestures in time. Belinda lives and works on Gadigal land. She holds an MFA (Drawing) from the National Art School, a BVA (Painting) from Sydney College of the Arts (University of Sydney), and a Bachelor of Industrial Design (Honours) from the University of Canberra. Belinda is also a curator and co-founder of DRAW Space gallery.
