Oil and gesso on panel with silver point and lead, collaborative drawing, 40 x 50cm
My work in drawing with metal point stems from an interesting in art history and the chemistry of art materials. The shift in the ways we use material chemicals, and metals in particular, influences the way I view my painting and drawing practice. Increasingly I am focused on what I can salvage through my art practice; from a material, philosophical, personal, psychological and ethical perspective.
