 R0CK B0D1ES - Book Ends

In this digital video piece, Keorattana Luangrathrajasombat’s R0CK B0D1ES appear on either side of a collapsing row of books, straining like sculptural bookends. Their clumsy, grounded forms physically hold space for the fragile arc of human storytelling. As the books fold inward, they give way to an evolving sequence of symbols: from cave markings to hieroglyphs, to handwritten script, printed text, digital words, and finally, shifting audio waveforms.

The narrative culminates in an AI-generated voice — detached, bodiless — and ends with a single glowing pulsing dot resembling a signal. This final symbol hints at a speculative future where knowledge bypasses language entirely, transmitted wirelessly directly into the body.

Book Ends traces the material and immaterial journey of language — from stone to signal, flesh to code. It reflects on the impermanence of the printed word and the accelerating evolution of communication. Even as text becomes disembodied, the R0CK B0D1ES remain: awkward but determined, echoing our instinct to preserve meaning, no matter the form it takes.
My art practice flows in two streams: as PANDAKERO, I’m a digital 2D/3D/XR artist, designer and animator. My work has a range of outputs that include still, motion, interaction, spatial experiences and sound. I like to explore immersive art and experimental media projects. Under my full name, Keorattana Luangrathrajasombat, this second artist stream is more of an extension of my work under PANDAKERO but with a more personal lens. Across both practices, I’m interested in the tension between the digital and physical, and how technology, play, and storytelling can be used to explore identity, presence, and connection.
