 Rust Monotype on Korean Kozo, 78 x 336cm 2021

My work celebrates the age and endurance of an ancient landscape. These prints, like the landscape they represent, will continue to degrade over time. The gridded marks talk of the human impositions on the surface of the land. Entropy, the cycle of accretion and abrasion which formed our landscape over millennia, continues inexorably, while in the human world there is an acceleration of change and crisis.
I am a Sydney based artist who works on and with with paper. I have an experimental practice, choosing unconventional materials and processes, and including the third and fourth dimension. I print entirely by hand with a baren.
