Daniel Press is a multidisciplinary artist, curator, and PhD Candidate at UNSW Art & Design. While primarily a sculptor, his hybrid textile and under-drawing/painting practice uncovers how Australian sheep shearing mythology is conceived and maintained over time. Press is a board member and co-founder of the Newtown-based ARI, DRAW Space. He is also the co-founder of the cross-institutional HDR studio crit program between National Art School, Sydney College of the Arts, and UNSW Art & Design.
