The sculptures that evolve during my process of cutting and gluing cardboard are reflective of geological forms and geological time. These landscapes erode and weather to a unique patina over millennia. Similarly, by working with the cardboard by hand I am able to accentuate the previous life of the boxes by bringing attention to their surfaces. The process of making these cardboard forms is repetitive and labour intensive. The final forms are highly affected by the time I spend hand-cutting cardboard pieces and considering how best to shape and encourage the growth of these stacks of cardboard.
I am a multi-disciplinary artist working across drawing and sculpture. Now based in Sydney I Graduated from the Bachelor of Fine Arts at National Art School in 2022. I completed a residency at Stonevilla Studios in Sydenham during 2023.
