 Second hand clothes, silk fabric, weaving and composting, dimensions variable, 2026 

My artistic journey centres on using second-hand wardrobe items and structures or processes from nature. I named this ongoing project “There’s a Forest in my Wardrobe.” I rework materials by shredding used clothes into strips, then weaving them into fresh fabric. The interplay between the ‘forest’ and the wardrobe sparks countless creative possibilities.
Inspired by Komorebi, I began considering ways to visually represent how different fibres decompose in landfills.
