Emilio Cresciani graduated from SCA in photo media.
His art practice explores the intersection between our modern consumer lifestyle and the natural environment, looking at redundancy and waste, altered landscapes, finding beauty in places of repulsion, neglect or obsolescence.
He has been a finalist in 30 awards – Earth Photo Award London, Kuala Lumpur Photo Award, Bowness Photography Prize, Clip Award, PCP, International Monochrome Awards, National Youth Self Portrait Prize, and Semi-Finalist Head On Portrait Prize. In 2020 he received a Dark Matter Residency, PhotoAccess.
He has staged over 20 solo shows including Perth Centre for Photography, Ballarat Foto Biennale, and Maud Gallery, Brisbane.
