Annelies Jahn and Jane Burton Taylor work collaboratively as eco artists. Their work is research-based and site-specific. They are interested in supporting indigenous ecosystems. They explore and engage with collective responsibility for care of country. Their work celebrates the joyous aspects of the natural world and often incorporates immersive dimensions using scent, aesthetics and scale.
Over the past six years, Annelies and Jane have worked together on several sites on Gadigal, Cammeraygal and Gundungurra Lands. This work culminated in an Tethered in 2022, a show exploring our layered interdependent relationship with near pristine bush sites, within the context of a colonial history, and Re-Wilding, an exhibition exploring the potential or reintroding indigenous flora in an urban context, in 2025. Currently the are working on Habitat, to open at La Perouse Museum in August this year.
