The gross consumption of fashion and material items has always made me uncomfortable.

Since the beginning of my fashion school days and across the many fashion internships I completed, I have always been in awe of the industry.

In awe of the beauty, artistry, traditions and innovations created and developed by historic and contemporary avant-garde designers, couture houses, culturally diverse artisans, and emerging designers. And on the other hand, in awe of today's consumers and their consumption of unethical and unsustainably produced clothing by high street and online fast fashion brands.

The increase in supply and demand for poor quality clothing scares me. The sheer ignorance towards the unethical (slave) labour conditions and largely unsustainable production, manufacture and waste management of textiles and clothing is horrendous. More so, the disposable mindset ingrained in today's consumers concerns me most.

Inspired by these thoughts and the playful absurdity of the Dadaists, I attempted to wear my entire wardrobe to justify how dense and greedy we have become as modern humans.
