Catriona Pollard is a contemporary fibre artist whose sculptural practice transforms foraged plant fibres and reclaimed metals into intricate works exploring the invisible systems that connect people, place and the natural world. Interpreting traditional basketry and weaving techniques, she creates contemporary sculptures that investigate ecological resilience, transformation and the delicate balance between human intervention and the living world. Working with foraged and invasive plant materials alongside reclaimed copper, she embraces the inherent character of each material, allowing its structure, history and movement to shape the narrative of her work. She has presented multiple solo exhibitions and has been selected for numerous group and touring exhibitions throughout Australia. She has been a winner and finalist in significant art awards
