I am interested in the shared language of abstraction in both music and painting. I explore this relationship through aspects such as colour in all its relationships, through structures and notational forms, compositions, rhythm, spatiality, touch, surface etc. In addition, through the process of making, through immediacy and improvisation, the additional aspects of chance and the unexpected all provide for what is often, the unpredictable.
