MANI-FOLD, was shown at F49 in 2016. In this tribute show, I have included my original plan for the office wall drawing; documentation imagery of the temporal work; and the deinstalled tape or 'compressed measure'. This 'compressed measure' is a 'spatial artefact' or memory piece of the original work. The processes of planning, work and deinstallation that were initially experienced at the time have become pivotal to my ongoing art practice.
In my work I investigate ideas of space, relationship and temporality, as experienced through objects and place. The contingency of these perceptions is observed via the agency of measure becoming the process of my art making. I believe there is an equivalence of value in all the actions or cycles of 'making' and 'unmaking'.
