Mixed media installation
I have a large existing installation using a B&W wall paste-up of my old outdoor shower burnt in the 2019 bushfires, to which a shower caddy holding cast concrete replications of melted shampoo bottles and a scrubbing brush is attached to. There is a cast bath mat on the white tile floor. I'm proposing to show elements of this installation. Perhaps just the shower caddy with or without a smaller section of the paste up? Or the bath mat displayed on the floor on some vinyl (tiles too heavy to freight)?
I’m a mid-career multi-disciplinary visual artist with a socio-political practice. My work is often installation based and a form of protest that draws attention to the ever-increasing and inescapable effects of the climate crisis.
