Touch is an exploration of environments captured through a camera. There is no model or end point but there is a subject and narrative. Photography is a medium that does not reproduce time, it can only compress it. Preventing those who engage with it to relive that moment. Reach beyond the frame. Add your own experiences to the images. How does a rock or reflection feel? How does light etch itself into our memory?
Elizabeth Thompson is a photographer and filmmaker based in Gadigal, originally from Western Sydney, who studies arts at UNSW. Her work primarily focuses on extending photography beyond the documentation process into performance.
