Installation of salvaged styrofoam fragments, entomological pins, trestle tray table, dimensions variable, 2026
Understanding the impact of styrofoam in our world (lasting the longest of all plastics) plus always being interested in little creatures and science, inclines me to be alert for anything in the environment. My work frequently engages with the enormity of plastic waste within the dominant philosophy of consumerism. My PhD, from the Sydney College of the Arts, 2020, was: On the Process of Creativity: The use of unconscious thought, and rubbish, in contemporary visual art practice.
