This series of process based works continues to utilise natural substances often used in food technology. Raw cotton rope absorbs natural dies in a hanging system. Here process is turned into outcome as the beauty of construction is featured.
These rope works belong to the E Series paintings but are more obviously object forms. The ropes are about gravity and absorption rates. These stain pieces do their own thing as affected by temp humidity etc, and the ropes are both armature and object wherein process long key to reading my simple post 20thc reductive arts works, is featuring.
