Connections

Stephanie Allington

Upstairs  | Opens on Oct 21 until Nov 5 | Fri, Sat & Sun

'Connections' is a body of work exploring the ongoing similarities between humans and nature. Featuring a series of photographs, this body of work incorporates the artists interest of working with cyanotypes and digitial photography.
Connections is a series of work that extends from a 2021 university assignment titled Rivers of my Body. The series explores the similarities between what connects humans and nature. The works in the series expand from Stephanie's interest in the process of creating and experimenting with cyanotype photography while incorporating some of her photographs that have been transformed into digital cyanotypes.

Stephanie Allington recently graduated from UTS, where she studied a Bachelor of Design in Photography. Her practice focuses on the experimentation of alternative photography while incorporating areas of film and digital photography into this practice. Stephanie has always focused on photographing nature and finding new ways to see its beauty. Stephanie is a student at UNSW, studying for a Master's in Curating and Cultural Leadership.
