Weather Report explores time, weather and by implication climate. It documents the weather; the beauty and ferocity of the weather at Currie, King Island in the springs of 2023 & 2024. Every night at sunset, for 2 weeks each year, I would shoot a minute of video of the sunset and record the weather conditions as reported on the BOM website for Currie.

King Island is subject to the full force of the Roaring Forties, escalated by the changing climate. It is on the pointy end of the climate crisis with the once verdant pastures now subject to the new normal of severe droughts, rising seas and violent storms. Kelp once sustained many in the community, but the sea around the island has warmed to the extent that the kelp can no longer survive there, this formerly sustainable industry is dying.
Living on King Island forces one to confront the urgent, escalating impacts of climate change on this small, beautiful, fragile island.

Weather Report is a UHD 4 channel video projection installation.
