Jardine’s work explores movement, perception and spatial relationships through the use of delicate brushstrokes, varying tonal and reflective qualities and limited colour. ‘And then there was blue’ introduces the use of the colour blue for Jardine whilst staying true to the intricate application of hard edge lines and triangular shapes that is prominent throughout Jardine’s practice.
Jardine is a Victorian based artist, curator and arts educator, holding a PhD from Deakin University, as well as a Bachelor of Creative arts (Visual Arts) and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours). Jardine has held sixteen solo exhibitions, contributed to numerous group exhibitions and curated many projects, with works held in public and private collections. Jardine is interested in movement and perception, with artistic practice predominately situated around painting, drawing, installation and performance.
