I graduated from the National Art School in 2011. In part due to the focus there on materials and processes, much of my work plays with space, ambient conditions and the phenomenology of the viewer’s position and perspective. The works are often difficult to capture photographically, and this aligns with my desire to harness the sense of an artwork being a ‘thing in itself’, as opposed to an image or representation, to throw the viewer back into the physical and temporal finiteness they together occupy.
