Selected from 92 drawings capturing my Paris Residency at Cité des Arts, the work is inspired by the Situationist's concept of psychogeography. Through a psychological exploration of undirected walking, I take random imprints of the built environment and blend with impressions of maps and networks. The 13 drawings mark Articulate's 13th anniversary.
Lisa Jones — artist, curator, and collaborator — based in Sydney on Gadigal land, explores the world through drawing, sculpture and video. With degrees from University of London, University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and UYSD, she has exhibited nationally and internationally, earning recognition in prestigious awards. Jones is represented by M Contemporary, Sydney, with works acquired by Artbank and other notable institutions.
