Roman Lang naturally combines references to the art historical canon such as colour field painting, hard edge or concrete art with influences from pop culture and the digital world. His paintings translate digital phenomena such as a glitch into analogue and interweave high and low materials.
Roman Lang, born 1976 in Neumarkt/DE, lives and works in Bonn/DE and Belfast/UK.
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich/DE as a master student with Prof. Ben Willikens. His work has been shown internationally in numerous institutional exhibitions.
