A weaving made on a backstrap loom while travelling between Australia, Japan, and Thailand. The primitive form of loom was a liberating way of working as my studio could be rolled up and travel with me. To weave all I need is the tension of my body against something solid.
Lisa is a Malaysian-born Australian artist, writer and curator living and working in Sydney. She has exhibited in Australia, Japan and Europe and has a particular interest in non-objective painting and alternative art platforms. Lisa holds a BFA (Hons) from the National Art School, and BA/LLB, LLM.
