In memory of Dominie Mauconduit, my best friend through difficult and adventurous times. She was my collaborator in many photography projects during the 1990s. 'Born To Be Wild' is from a photo story, inspired by songs and movies about road trips. It was taken in 1994 on the outskirts of Melbourne, then paddocks and dirt roads, starring Dom, myself and my 1970 golden Holden HG Premier.
Anke Stäcker is a photo media artist, who lives and works in Sydney. She is interested in story telling, memory and the urban environment.
