A creek, a river, a lake, an ocean, change within my lifetime. With man-made climate change and subsequent natural disasters, the Earth is changing dramatically within my 70-year life. These lino prints on vertical paper scrolls are part of a large series of pianola rolls hung vertically. They reflect change and the fragility of the Earth.
Artist profile
Ro Murray has a cross-disciplinary arts practice. Her attention to form, site and materials relate to her previous thirty-year career as an architect. Most recently she has been lino printing which has expanded to site-responsive wall constructions and installations of serial prints. Ro has been selected for many works on paper and sculpture prizes including Hidden, Saw Millers, Harbour Sculpture, Scenic World and several solo exhibitions. She is a creative partner of Murray and Burgess, who last year were awarded solo exhibition by Blue Mountains Cultural Centre Katoomba, for which they have won a CREATE NSW grant, and also invited to join Canberra Biennial 2022.
