 Possibility to fall

.

fabric, paper pulp, thread, needles, string, leaf matter; variable dimensions

Jeni Mulvey is an artist who works with paper, textiles, pigments, paint and found objects. She/they work these materials into sculptural installations that invite the viewer to explore their relationship with place, materiality, memory and imagination, sometimes incorporating sound or inviting participation.

Mulvey’s later-life commitment as a practising artist embraces her ongoing enthusiasm for experimental methodologies and techniques that challenge our mental, social and cultural paradigms. Mulvey achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National Art School (NAS) with recognition of her practice through selection for the Graduate Drawing Exhibition 2021 and the NAVA Award for Professional Practice.  Since then she has participated in a number of group exhibitions, presented a solo show and installed a commissioned artwork in a private Sydney home.
