I was born on Friday the 13th of February, at midnight. Most people would think that this is terribly unlucky. My mother was asked if she would prefer number 14 instead. She did, and now my birthday is on the day of love. These porcelain segments are cut out of spherical forms. Gravity and heat in the kiln warped them.

I am interested in working with porcelain (mostly), and find new meaning through various ways of deconstruction. Through these pieces, I imagine being a tiny creature who can look up, into and out of these structures of wondrous spaces.
