‘Only one draft’ – A brush with mortality focuses the mind on our vulnerability. It makes you realize that, unlike writers who can make many drafts of their work with markups and changes before the final, our human life is basically one continuous draft. We carry all the changes, markups, deletions within us until 'Word 1' finalizes our last chapter.
While I chose architecture as a career I have continued painting, drawing and exhibiting in Sydney through my adult life. I have since moved to Bellingen and have exhibited locally as well as at NERAM Armidale, Gallery Lane Cove, Red Gallery Fitzroy North Melbourne and Anomyne Zeichner (Anonymous Drawings)’ International Exhibition Berlin.
