The exhibition SYNTHESIS explores the profound connections between artistic materials and their sublime cosmic origins.
The exhibition SYNTHESIS explores the profound connections between artistic materials and their sublime cosmic origins. It is a meditation on how the very substances forming pigments and mediums, graphite and charcoal, clay and glazes, moving images on the screen as well, were born in the fiery hearts of ancient stars, travelling billions of years and unimaginable distances, as echoes of breathtaking astral events.

The sublime alchemy of the Universe is reflected and expanded in my everyday art practice. I work with substances formed in astonishing cosmic episodes so distant in time that contemplating them stretches the limits of imagination. My creative processes, like everything else, are shaped by fundamental laws of physics (gravity, motion, thermodynamics, and so on). Even I, the humble artist, am the product of this extraordinary astral evolution. The artworks in SYNTHESIS are not only metaphors of the Universe unfolding, they are literally made of celestial materials and governed by cosmic principles. I draw from the same elemental palette as the stars, translating the wonder of the cosmos into tangible form, and rendering the vast, incomprehensible scale of cosmic history into immediate sensorial and emotional experience. The invisible ancient history of the Universe is made visible through my works, and so, continuing the eternal process of cosmic progression and transformation.
