FOREST is a poetic collection of artworks that reflect on our place in the scheme of things, whether it be a forest of trees, stars, ideas, people or things.
In a broader sense we, and everything we have or will ever encounter, are the forest. It is the interconnected and delicately balanced reality that exists all around us and beyond our physical senses.
Henderson has spent the past decade exploring our intangible relationships with the natural world and with space and time. This exhibition collects several key paintings and 3D works that illustrate the abstract beauty of creation and the world we should treasure and protect.

Brief Bio
Beric Henderson has a background in art and science (PhD in biology, 1990). His art explores physical and philosophical aspects of creation and how humans connect with the world(s) around us. Henderson’s practice experiments with painting, drawing, sculpture and 3D-painting on multi-layered Perspex, and recent projects focus on themes relating to cosmology and space-time, the process of creation and transformation, perception and memory.
He has contributed to more than 80 exhibitions throughout Australia, South Korea, Venice and Switzerland since 2003, and has been shortlisted for numerous national art prizes. His work is held in collections including the New Norcia Museum religious art collection (WA) and the Figure1A science art collection in Lausanne, Switzerland. In 2019 he contributed to an art-science exhibition at Palazzo Albrizzi in Venice and in 2022 his 3D painting Emergent #2 won an exhibition award in Lausanne.
